Power Washing v Pressure Washing

Power Washing - using pressurized water to remove mold/mildew, dirt/mud spider droppings & webs from various types of surfaces such as Vinyl Siding, Concrete, Wood Decks and Roof Shingles. The pressure is regulated to deliver the correct amount of pressure for the job at hand.

Pressure Washing - uses water that is heated to a hot temperature that breaks down contaminated materials, and if not done by a professional could cause damage.

Soft Washing - used by Rics Mobile Power Wash completes the processes with eco-friendly and environmentally safe LOW PRESSURE chemical solutions to clean all your exterior needs.

When the deck has been cleaned, it should then be stained or sealed. Rics Mobile Power Washing recommends NOT to use a solid color stain, for 2 reasons - 1. Once you apply a solid color you will need to stay with that color, or remove it by sanding the complete area you painted (which is what a solid color actually is) - 2. As the weather and foot traffic wears on the solid color it peals off and requires sanding and priming at each worn area ,then repainted to bring the deck back to the same amount of layers evenly. Sealing / Staining with a transparent type of stain/sealer lets the wood grain show through and can be Power Washed and re-stained easily (Less cost the next time).
